AVIATION & MARINE HYDRAULIC TESTING EQUIPMENT

1. COMPANY GSE TECHNOLOGY

Misal specializes in the development of Aircraft and Marine Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used for preventative and corrective maintenance/testing of hydraulic components and systems. The GSE’s are designed for comprehensive hydraulic and pneumatic testing of:

1. Civil Aircraft
2. Defence Aircraft
3. Submarines
4. Helicopters

The original Hydraulic Test Stations (Generation 1) were designed and developed specifically for F111 Strike Fighter Aircraft.

This technology has been further developed and upgraded with the following advances:

  1. The technology has now been converted into the category of Universal Computerised Test Stations.
  2. The company’s technology has previously been recommended for use by an Australian Defence Organisation for the new Joint Strike Fighter Aircraft project.
  3. Fixed computerised test stations have been developed for testing the hydraulic systems of the Collins Class Submarines (ADI-Boeing Project).

The GSE design is based on a modular concept design which allows test stations to be configured for testing of any type of aircraft. This results in a considerable cost saving to the end user as only one set of test stations (for fixed and rotating components) is required for the testing of an entire aircraft fleet.

The current test stations have been improved over the years and are considered to be state-of-the-art testing facilities with a number of unique testing capabilities such as:

  1. Simulated flying conditions testing
  2. Accelerated ageing conditions testing

The company has developed two different mobile computerised test stations for aviation and submarine use. These are designed for military and civil aircraft/helicopters testing and for the Collins Class Submarine Testing.

2. MISAL AIRCRAFT / SUBMARINE & HELICOPTER
COMPUTERISED HYDRAULIC TEST STATIONS (ACHTS)

Additional details of some Misal ACHTS unique testing capabilities:

  • Full automated components testing utilising Misal’s uniquely developed software programs with high repetition tests accuracy, independent of the operator.
  • Specific test programs for all components under the test are to be determined by the operator using information from the OEM data sheets and manuals.
  • Accelerated ageing testing capabilities (using Misal’s specially developed software program) to determine life span of the components.
  • Components testing under simulated flying conditions or OEM determined operational flying conditions (using Misal’s specially developed software program). Final test results recorded in the QC certificate, issued for each component.
  • Data logging of all ACHTS final test results for future test comparisons and determination of each individual components wear and tear between the previous test periods and the current test results (ACHTS automated determination made during the execution of the current tests). Data logging undertaken and stored data available for retrieval during the life span of all individual components (optional facility).

3. OTHER ACHTS CAPABILITIES

  • Internal flushing of ACHTS hydraulic oil.
  • Provision for flushing of other hydraulic oil volumes external to ACHTS.
  • Internal testing of ACHTS hydraulic oil cleanliness condition and standard (optional).
  • ACHTS internal calibration system for selected major or important circuits and parameters in regard to flows, pressures, temperature and torque (optional).
  • Connecting provisions for external testing of ACHTS oil cleanliness.

The new generation of the Misal Ground Support Equipment series is capable of undertaking any and all of the complex tests as specified in the various OEM manuals. Misal GSE’s are capable of testing aircraft, submarines, helicopters and other Defence and Civil Aviation equipment, where a high degree of testing accuracy, reliability, data logging and simulation of actual flying conditions, during testing, is required.
