TROUBLESHOOTING

A) RAM STOPS WITH VALVE UP:
Leak in valve seat area, leak in cage flange area.

B) RAM STOPS WITH VALVE DOWN:
Insufficient supply of water, blocked strainer, gate valve not fully open, excessive weight on valve stem.

C) RAM OPERATES BUT NO WATER DISCHARGED:
Air may be exhausted from dome. To refill dome with air close off both pipes, remove blank flange on the opposite side to discharge pipe to allow water in dome to drain – then replace flange.

D) VALVE FLUTTERS AT TOP OF STROKE:
Air is in drive pipe, leaking drive pipe or end of pipe is not fully submerged.
